With January transfer looming ahead, the Premier League defending champions are planning to bring in some players who will serve as reinforcement to their current team.
Latest report according to English media claims that the Blues are in the final stage of signing Brazilian sensational forward Alex Teixeira in January transfer.
Both Jose Mourinho and Chelsea’s owner Roman Abramovich are keen on luring the shakhtar Donetsk attacking midfielder to Stamford Bridge in other to boost their team.
Teixeira has been on sparkling form this season for the Ukrainian club, scoring 26 goals in all competition already this season. The star is currently the leading goal scorer in Ukrainian league with 22 goals in 15 matches.
The attacking midfielder who earlier claims Chelsea’s interest in him, is set to pen a deal with the Stamford Bridge outfit. This follows after shakhtar Donetsk boss Mircea Lucescu hinted that they could sell the star to interested club, only if they are willing to meet their valuation of €50million for Teixeira.
The highly versatile attacking midfielder is seen as a potential replacement for either misfiring Diego Costa, Oscar or out of form Cesc Fabregas.
