Hernandez who represented Manchester Utd was known for his timing runs and decisive goals for the Red Devils. He became a bit part player for the team and was loaned out to Real Madrid last season where he continued his goal scoring exploits even as a second choice striker to Karim Benzenma.
Diego Costa has been the opposite of his last season form as he continued his struggle in front of goal. The No 9 has gotten into so many controversies on the pitch that has made him to lose concentration during matches.
Hernandez could provide some inspiring display for the blues with his incisive runs and eye for goal. Already used to the demands of the EPL, the Mexican would seemingly fit into Chelsea.
With Falcao and Remy inability to deputize for Costa, a move for Chicharito (Mexican name referring to his diminutive stature) in January would not be ruled out.
