Having struggled for play time this season, Chelsea striker Loic Remy is set to exit Stamford Bridge in January transfer window. This follows the imminent arrival of Brazilian goal poacher Alex Teixeira.

Report according to French media house L’Equipe claims Ligue One side Lille are currently monitoring the situation of Remy at Chelsea and could sanction a loan move for the star in January.

It is also reported that AS Monaco are interested in the services of the former Queen Parks Ranger striker and would battle Lille for Remy signature in January.

The French star has played second fiddle football to Costa since his arrive to Chelsea last year. He has only managed to score eight goals in 28 EPL matches since his arrival to Stamford Bridge in 2014.

With Costa suspended in last game against Manchester United, the French star who was expected to fill the void left by Costa could not play due to minor injury suffered.

Chelsea are desperately in need of a clinical and proven striker in January to compete with Costa. As a result, Remy might be shown the exit door to Stamford Bridge in other to create space for other strikers to come in.
