Chelsea captain John Terry is said to be offered a new lease of life from the troubles facing Chelsea. According to Metro, the Blues captain has been offered a wonderful offer from Qatari side Al-Arabi coached by another Chelsea legend Gianfranco Zola.
Terry contract expires by the end of the summer and with the way things are going at the club, the chances of having a renewal would be very slim.
Regarded as the most successful club captain, the centre back is arguably one of the best to have graced the game. With over 500 appearances for the club, and to have won the most titles as a captain, the player could be leaving his childhood club after spending his entire career with the club.
The player has not been able to organise his defence this season with the club shipping in goals after goals. Terry’s place in the team was a bit shaky in the start of this season with the manager dropping him to the bench after some woeful defending.
Transfer target John Stones has been identified as a perfect replacement for the 35 year old but the deal didn’t come through as Everton blatantly refused to do business with the club. Marquinhos has also been linked as possible replacement for the Chelsea legend.
Much would be seen if Terry will stick with the club in this difficult moment or rather go for a safe landing elsewhere.
