Reports coming from English media house Daily Mail suggests that Chelsea Nathaniel Chalobah has been spotted in Naples ahead of his medicals with Seria A side Napoli for a season-long loan to gain first team football and experience.
The Sierra Leone born star started his football career with the Blues’ youth team and had developed to becoming one of the brightest young star in England. Chalobah is a very versatile player who can play both as a midfielder and a defender.
Although the England under 21 international is yet to feature for the Blues senior team in premiership, however, he played in the Premier League last season with Burnley in his shot loan spell.
a medical today and should seal the season-long switch ahead of the Italian transfer deadline at 11pm, Gianluca Di Marzio report.
Speaking to Gianluca Di Marzio report, Napoli boss Maurizio Sarri said:
“Chalobah? I can not comment on that, he is a player I do not know.
“The club choose the players, I work to prepare for the games.”
Since 2012, the 20-year old star has spent most of his playing time out on loan to Watford, Nottingham Forest, Middlesbrough, Burnley and Reading.
It was earlier reported that the starlet was heading back to Championship side Reading after a successful spell with them last season where he made 20 appearances but he has now opted to join Napoli.
Should this deal be completed today, Chalobah would join the likes of Mohamed Salah and Juan Cuadrado on a season-long loan in Italy.
