Chelsea has sanctioned the move of Ulises Davila to Santos Laguna. The West London side apparently allowed the player to move as he couldn’t break into the first team since joining the club.
The player was initially the first Mexican to sign for the blues but was subject to various loan deals after signing for the club in 2011. Notable clubs loaned to include Vitesse, Sabadell, Cordoba, Tenerife and Vitoria.
The attacking midfielder has been announced by the Mexican Liga Mx Champions as having signed a three year contract with the Club.
Davila has represented the Mexican U-20, 23 team and was even called up for the national team but has yet to be capped. The player has notched up to a career goal of 16 out of his 188 appearances for all the teams he has represented.
Although he couldn’t break into the star studded team of Chelsea, Davila is known for his aggressive play, vision and exquisite passing skills. The 24 year old could resuscitate his career with the Mexican team and could be a spark with his enormous experience gained in Europe.
Chelsea seeks to bring in additional players as coach Hiddink is worried about the injuries suffered by both Remy and Falcao. Rumours have it that Oumar Naisse of Lokomotiv Moscow could be joining the club to help with the striking problems.
Update of the Chelsea’s latest deal to follow.
