Chelsea have apparently been watching young Serbian U-21 international Marko Grujic. The midfielder plays for Red Star Belgrade and was in sparkling form last week with a stunning strikCe from 30-yards.
Chelsea are said to have strong ties with the Serbian club and a move could be struck in the January window. The 19 year old starred in the summer FIFA Under- 20 World Cup where he led his team to the trophy.
Meanwhile rivals Manchester United are said to be interested in signing the youngster. It was reported by Daily Mail that the club sent scouts to the Belgrade side to have a closer look at the midfielder.
Louis Van Gaal is said to be a big fan of the player who is valued around £3m by the Belgrade side.
As the transfer window draws closer, much would be seen if the transfer would go through. Chelsea need to get back to win ways to stay in touch with leaders Manchester City.
