With the January transfer window looming ahead, rumours linking players to various has been on the media for weeks now. Notable of such rumour is the one linking Real Madrid attacking midfielder Isco to Chelsea.
Latest report according to the Express claims that the 23-year old star is looking for a ‘change of scenery’ in January after failing to command a regular shirt with the La Liga giants under the new boss Rafa Benitez.
Chelsea have not really been at their best this season and most of their fans and various pundits criticism have been on their defense and midfield positions.
The combination of Cesc Fabregas and Oscar that tormented the Premier League last season has not yielded any positive result this season. Oscar has even fallen down the pecking order in Mourinho’s starting line-up with fellow Brazilian team mate Ramires now the prefer choice in the holding midfield role.
The Stamford bridge outfit has therefore seen Isco as a potential replacement for Oscar after failing to secure the services of summer target Paul Pogba.
With Isco now poised to hand in transfer request for a move away from Madrid, Chelsea will be keen on luring the star to Stamford Bridge in order to help redeem the collapsed Chelsea’s team that currently lye 15th on the EPL table.
Chelsea would however need to battle Arsenal and Liverpool for the highly rated midfielder signature.
