Bayern Munich Manager, Pep Guardiola has refuted speculations linking him to a move to Premier League Champions Chelsea. The Coach when questioned about the said move responded by saying:
“The subject is always the same. “I am not going to answer them. “I can’t be bothered with it anymore’.
Reports has it that Guardiola who led Barcelona to a famous 14 trophies in his stay at Barcelona could be plying his trade in England as Chelsea are said to be shopping for a replacement for controversial Jose Mourinho.
The Spaniard was asked about his contract with the German in his pre-match conference in a DFB Pokal clash against Wolfsburg. He responded by saying:
“Please, its October,” “I have to continue winning games, because that’s what the fans want. I don’t talk about it [the contract] every week.”
Meanwhile, CEO of Bayern Munich Karl – Heinz Rummenigge believes that the tactician would sign a contract extension and stay with the German Champions in the foreseeable future.
With pressures on Mourinho to deliver result, reports believed that the board would meet during the November international break to decide on the future of the coach.
Chelsea continued their dismal performance with a loss to Stoke City in the Capital One cup after being held to 1-1 draw. Jonathan Walters opened scoring for Stoke before Loic Remy scored the equaliser in the nick of time. Jack Butland (stoke goal keeper) was the hero of the day as he saved Hazard’s penalty to send Stoke to the quarter final in the Capital One Club.
